He can afford all the Botox money can buy.But it seems even powerful TV moguls like Simon Cowell cannot defy gravity forever.
The 53-year-old showed off a remarkably saggy jawline on a date with partner Lauren Silverman, 37. The pair, parents to six-month-old Eric, enjoyed an evening together at Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza. Cowell is relaxing before the next series of the X Factor starts at the end of the month. He has returned to the judging panel – alongside Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh - for the first time since 2010, when he left to concentrate on the American version instead. Cowell has always denied having cosmetic surgery, but has been remarkably candid about use of wrinkle-busting Botox injections to keep his complexion smooth. He once compared the process to brushing his teeth, confessing: "Of course I have had it. I mean, for me, it's like cleaning my teeth, you know? Something makes your teeth whiter or something stops you having lines". He added: "I think you've got to be very careful as a guy, in particular, that you can end up looking really, really weird".
Cowell and Mrs Silverman are believed to have struck up a relationship two years ago after her marriage to millionaire casino owner Andrew Silverman collapsed. Mr Silverman filed for divorce shortly before news of her pregnancy was made public in August last year and her son Eric was born in February.
Cowell’s company Syco Entertainment is now working on a remake of the classic 1930s cartoon Betty Boop. He said: "Betty is an icon, a diva and one of the biggest stars in the world - I'm thrilled to be working with her. Betty, I hope you're going to be a good girl".
